Meet The Team

Gary Cregan 180x180
Gary Cregan – Managing Director

Gary has spent the vast majority of his career, since graduating from college, in various business related roles including sales, marketing and business development. Throughout his 25 years’ experience Gary has worked with some of the world’s biggest brands and has acquired the detailed knowledge and discipline involved in developing those brands over time.

Gary has also experience in building and leading teams around him who understand and work to his ethos, consistently work to best business practice, in order to achieve their goals and to perform consistently to ensure a premium quality service and environment is provided to all staff, client and customers alike.

Eamonn Cregan 180x180
Eamonn Cregan – Director

Eamonn brings a wealth of experience to the business from both a professional and sporting background. From having run his own auctioneering firm in Limerick in the 70’s and 80’s, succesfully managing a building society in Nenagh in the 90’s and 00’s to secretary-manager of Newcastle West Golf Club, Eamonn has experienced all facets of business life.

Add to this his experience of being part of and leading teams from his schooldays with a Harty Cup and All Ireland Colleges success with CBS, Sexton St to playing inter county hurling and football with Limerick from minor to Senior and going on to play 19 years inter county hurling winning league, many Munster titles and All-Ireland success in 1973. All the time being involved in various levels of coaching of all age groups and having progressed to All-Ireland success as manager in senior hurling, junior followed by an intermediate camogie title with Limerick and Mary Immaculate College in the Fitzgibbon cup to name some managerial highlights.

Kristian Doyle – General Manager

Kristian Doyle is our General Manager who grew up in Carlow and later moved to London. Kristian joined the team in early 2023 and comes to Kareplus with a wealth of experience having qualified as a registered general nurse in 2001 and in later years progressed his education into the world of management where he gained his Business Management Degree from the University of Limerick. Kristian gained his nursing qualification in Kingston University London where once qualified he spent his early years of nursing working in the oncology units of St.Georges Hospital London. Upon returning to Ireland, Kristian worked in a variety of nursing environments working across nursing homes, local hospitals and in the community covering surgical, medical and acute awards. Overtime Kristian branched away from the hospital settings and started a new chapter of nursing working for the Irish Blood Transfusion. Kristian spent 9 years working as the Assistant Director of Nursing for the Irish Blood Transfusion. His role involved managing teams under his remit to collect blood for the country whilst trying to meet the ever demanding need. In time Kristian reverted back to his roots and joined a home care company where he excelled in the role as Home Care Manager and gained valuable experience spanning an 8 year period. In 2023 Kristian made the next step in his career to join Kareplus and take up a new challenge as our General Manager.

Jessica Mc Sweeney
Jessica McSweeney – Home Care Manager

Jessica is our Home Care Manager who grew up in Kilkenny, but began her journey into healthcare in 2015 when she went to the University of Limerick in (U\L) to study for her Bachelor’s degree in General Nursing.

During her studies Jessica worked as a healthcare assistant in nursing homes gaining a deep empathy and understanding of older person’s care.  Jessica completed her degree in 2019, and began her career as a staff nurse. Jessica initially worked in a surgical ward in UHL and overtime transitioned into the complexities of the ICU ward where she gained a wealth of experience.

Jessica learnt so many wonderful things in her time working in UHL and having worked through the pandemic faced the uphill challenges the pandemic brought with it. 

When she returned to Ireland she had decided that she wanted to move into the community, helping and supporting people in their own homes and that is how she ended up in Kareplus working as a Home Care Manager. Jessica applies her clinical knowledge when she goes out to meet clients and their families. Jessica loves having the chat and finding out someone’s life story and has a passion and commitment to providing support to all her clients, carers and families with a high quality of care

Dee Keogh
Deirdre Keogh – Recruitment Consultant

Deirdre Keogh is our Recruitment Consultant in Kareplus. Deirdre previously worked as a carer for the last number of years and has taken this experience with her into the recruitment world she now finds herself in. Deirdre enjoyed her time working as a HCA immensely for many years looking after vulnerable people in their own homes.

Deirdre feels having her HCA experience behind her will assist her in recruiting the most suitable carers to join Kareplus and make a difference  in peoples lives.

Deirdre loves what she does and the reason why we do what we do to help the most vulnerable.

Deirdre has a good sense of humour and enjoys spending her down time with friends and family.

Dearbhla Clohessy – Lead Scheduler

Dearbhla Clohessy is our Lead Scheduler of our amazing team. Dearbhla enjoys the daily challenges of putting the schedules together and to ensure all clients needs are met in a timely manner. Dearbhla is at home when working in a busy environment and with over 10 years’ experience in the Home Care Services. Dearbhla has a vast amount of experience in the field in both scheduling and rostering. When not in the office, Dearbhla enjoys spending her downtime with family. Dearbhla has a passionate approach to her work and applies this to every client and carers schedules to ensure all clients needs are met and carers arrive on time.
